CityU organizes Tianjin study trip to deepen scientific education and implement national strategies

Recently, City University of Macau (CityU) organized a study trip to the Tianjin region to further deepen academic exchanges and cooperation between Macao and mainland universities. The trip was led by Xu Liting, head of the Research Office of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, and Prof. Ip Kuai Peng, vice rector and dean of the Graduate School, and was joined by a group of faculty and postgraduate students. The study group visited Tianjin University, Hebei University of Technology, Shijiazhuang University, and Hebei Normal University to promote exchanges and cooperation in several areas, including discipline development, research collaboration, joint postgraduate training, faculty mutual visits, organization of academic forums, and student exchange initiatives.

 

 

In addition, the group conducted on-site visits to the Xiong’an New Area, focusing on the comprehensive service center, the east-west axis dispatch and command center, the ecological wetland protection demonstration zone, and the Baiyangdian walkway. During these visits, participants gained insights into the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei Urban Agglomeration, development of the digital twin system for urban planning, smart city construction, urban governance, low-carbon initiatives, ecological restoration, and national development strategies, all aimed at informing urban development in Macao.
